Current Vacancy: Office Administrator – Maternity Leave Cover – Fixed Term until July 2027
Chemwash Cleaning Ltd (Porirua City – Wellington) is looking for an experienced Office Administrator to join our friendly and supportive team for a fixed term while our administrater is on maternity leave. This is a part-time role with a minimum of 30 hours per week, offering flexible finish times.
About the Role
This is a varied and hands-on office role, ideal for someone who enjoys organisation, customer interaction, and working independently. You will be the first point of contact for our customers and play a key role in the smooth running of our office.
Start date – Monday 1st June
There may be an opportunity for the right candidate to move into a permanent role after the fixed term contract ends.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing incoming calls and emails with a professional and friendly manner
- Customer service and handling enquiries
- General office administration and data entry
- Using Outlook and Excel daily
- Working with our job management database (Servicem8)
- Assisting with basic accounting tasks using Xero
- Supporting the team and helping coordinate work when needed
About You
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience in office administration
- Excellent customer service skills and a pleasant telephone manner
- Strong keyboard and data entry skills with high attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Basic experience with databases (Servicem8 preferred but not essential)
- Basic accounting knowledge (Xero experience an advantage)
- The ability to work unsupervised and manage office procedures independently
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude and pride in your work

Hours, Location & Pay
- Minimum 30 hours per week
- Start time 9:00am, with some flexibility on finish times
- Office located on Kenepuru Drive, Porirua
- $27/hr
Training
